In December of 2022, Team Guardian will compete in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, a 3000-mile, trans-Atlantic rowing race. That’s right…rowing across the Atlantic Ocean! Tagged as "The World's Toughest Row", this is a huge initiative that will require a massive amount of planning, preparatory work, and community support. Wondering why we would do this? Simple – we’re raising money and awareness for our fellow first responders. Click here to learn more about our cause.
So here's how it works: In a specially designed ocean rowing boat, our team will leave La Gomera (off the west coast of Africa) and row our way to Antigua (in the Caribbean). There is no support along the way. Carrying all of our food and filtering sea water for drinking, our team is completely self-sustained. Rotating rowing and resting every 2 hours, we will keep the boat moving 24 hours a day, for approximately 30 to 45 days. Our time at sea will depend on weather, physical conditioning, mental fortitude, and much more!
While this challenge will be the biggest we have ever faced, it’s nothing compared to the challenge many of our local heroes face every day!
